1932 Ford Highboy Roadster
This very cool 1932 Highboy Roadster has an interesting provenance as it was built in Canada in the early 1990's, ownership changed to the U.S.in late 90's and was totaled. The car changed hands twice over the next ten years and was completely rebuilt starting in 2008 and completed in 2009 with only 5,000 miles since the rebuild. The current owner has maintained and enjoyed this classic street rod for the last 4 years.
Exterior: The high quality fiberglass body was built in Australia, has very straight panels, no unsightly seams with uniform gaps throughout. The hood has nicely louvered side panels. Smooth PPG DP Flat Black finish is complemented with tan pin striping. The frame is Black powder coated with all surfaces fresh and without chips or other blemishes. Black anodizing was used throughout. The stylish and functional Rod Tops folding top is storable.
Interior: Features a Black anodized dash with a full set of Stewart Warner Track Force gauges, leather-wrapped billet Banjo steering wheel, tilt steering column and Lokar shifter. The seats and door panels are upholstered in supple Tan Leather.
Engine and Driveline: BBS Blown Chevy 427 w/450 h.p. at the wheels, aluminum heads, two Holley 4 barrel carbs, MSD ignition system, both mechanical and electric cooling fans, aluminum oil pan, backed by a built TH-400 automatic transmission. TCI powder coated Frame, chromed Pete and Jakes front suspension, TCI Parallel 4-Link rear suspension with coilover shocks, 9" Ford rear end with 3.55:1 gears; cruises at an easy 3100 RPM at 70 MPH. 4-wheel disc brakes.
Wheels and Tires: 195/60 Front and 285/70 Rear; all on vintage 15" American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels.
This is truly a "NO ISSUES" show quality driver street rod that needs nothing but to be driven, shown and enjoyed! |
