This white and red 1949 Chevy Five windows Fire Department Truck is a very straight solid vehicle. You can load your bike or just having it so families can take pictures.
It is ready to put into service as in all original truck.
Heater works, new motor wiper.
Starter push bottom on the floor..
It belonged to Stella Fire Dep. in Missouri. Except for the water tank, (been replaced with a wooden bed and new metal stripes) everything is in there the way it was in 1949 and corroborated with information obtained researched from Central Fire Truck Corp
Please note on pic #3 the pump system with turbine and matching numbers in dashboard metal plaque.
It was storage in a barn since 1985 until I got it.(paint is in good shape but shows some age)
It runs great with the 6 straight cylinder (235.5 cu. in. )motor and 4 sped manual transmission all original
Upgraded for better performance with new 12v electric system.
Perfect for parades,museums,advertising, collectors etc.
Some cosmetic job done. Clean title
Full tune up done
Miles:9,500 (Originals in the title as well. Yes you reading fine, this truck was since 1985 in a garage.
Original Operator Manual included. Also some old records and literature from this era.
All gauges work properly
Some parts were replace with original ones. I have all receipts.
